Tasty Wedding Cakes

Everyone dreams about their wedding day and when the time arrives, they look forward of perfection. But to be honest, prices are specifically high when it comes to weddings these days. First of all, you need to decide upon what cake you would like: chocolate, vanilla, a yellow or white cake or if you want to go for an exotic piece. Try out various recipes and have tasting parties and have a second opinion from family and friends. But you can just ask your fiancé if he likes the cake and just settle on what you both agree upon. For a very easy cake you can start with a cake mix and go for a white almond cake or a Hawaiian wedding cake and put pineapples, cream cheese and coconut for that exotic flavor. Butter cream frosting is the perfect choice for a simple and easily homemade wedding cake. It is very easy to make and it tastes delicious. You can use the same frosting for your cake filling as for the icing on the outside. But you can try out various fillings, such as whipped lemon mousse, raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and so on.

To have a three tiered wedding cake, bake three different sized round cakes. Buy large pans and after you bake the cakes work on them separately. Start with the one on the bottom, put it on the cake base and use a serrated knife and cut the top of the cake to make it flat. Then cut the cake in half and spread filling on the bottom half. Repeat the same process of filling and frosting with the other two layers and use three plastic straws to anchor the cake.

You can choose to decorate the wedding cake with fresh flowers or fresh fruits, arranged on each layer and put the bride and groom topper on top of the cake. With a little practice, you will successfully succeed.
