Tasty Wedding Cakes

Wedding cakes are part of the receptions and they are present at wedding no matter what. In time there have been developed all sorts of styles for the wedding cakes. They used to be simple, classic and covered just in one color, but nowadays they are more than that. White is simple and classy and it remains the best color for wedding cakes. The cake can be white, but you can still have the opportunity to decorate the cake with flowers, fruits and items done out of fondant. For an outdoor wedding, a bit of green on the cake do wonders. Consider a velvet cake with cream cheese filling and some fresh figs on the cake. Also a white wedding cake can have decorations on it, such as bows and ties and on top you can put the classic bride and groom toppers. You will have an elegant wedding cake, just like the dressing of the guests.

Combine simplicity with modern views and have a three or four tiered cake in simple linings done with frosting. It looks really nice, especially if you are having a rustic or traditional wedding. The wedding cake can have a big bow made out of icing that seems like wrapping it up. You can combine two colors. If you prefer, use a satin ribbon and wrap the cake where the tiers unite, thus creating a great effect, simple but effective. Placing fresh flowers on the cake is a guaranteed success. There are certain flowers you can use, so it is best to ask the florist and see which are non-toxic. For example, you can put fresh orchids. A vanilla wedding cake covered in butter-cream with fresh orchids spread between the tiers and with sugar beads will look stunning and attract everyone’s admiration.

Cascading flowers over the cake is definitely a good idea for any cake. It doesn’t matter if you choose fresh flowers or the ones made out of sugar or fondant, either way, it looks great. Choose combinations of white and sweet pink.
