Tasty Wedding Cakes

When you go to a wedding, you expect everything to be perfect, to have that clean look and the wedding cake to be white, classic, with stacked tiers and so on. But things are not necessarily this way these days. Couples looking for planning a less traditional wedding can look for something that expresses more of what they are as a couple. Unique wedding cakes can still be elegant and nice looking, but they incorporate the personalities of the married couple.

 The groom cake is ordered by the bride for the groom and it can be designed in any shape, according to what the groom might like. Consider the hobbies of the groom; perhaps he is passionate about cars, so the cake can be shaped as his dream car. Maybe he is into sports or video games, the cake can have any shape and it can even reflect the favorite food of the groom, of course, if it is fries and burgers, then just the looks will be the same, but not the taste. White wedding cakes are perfect for classic weddings, traditional and such. But in order for a cake to reflect someone’s true personality, the cake must be decorated properly. How about choosing animal print fondant or sculptures made out of gum paste? Illustrate your relationship and your love story within the cake, so everyone can tell that it is special and means a lot.

Instead of the traditional, tiered wedding cake, mini cakes are a great decision. They have the same size as cupcakes, but they are decorated as full size wedding cakes. This allows each guest to have his own wedding cake, but they can be used as wedding favors as well. Mini cakes can be personalized with the initials of each guest. For using them as a wedding cake, put them on cake stands and decorate them beautifully, so when they are stacked together, they give the impression of a real cake.

Finally, in case you have a favorite move, you like a book or a game; anything can be represented in the wedding cake. On each tier there can be placed decorations in order to create a storyline and the cake toppers can easily be replaced with unique examples, not just the classic groom and bride sitting next to each other. Now that you got the point on what unique wedding cakes can be like, it is time to create your own.
